Eid Mubarak

I know Raya is long over but I only had the chance to write about my Raya now. What with so many events for the past few weeks, plus pictures here and there.
This year's Eid was definitely a blast. Alhamdulillah.
It was my second year with Aa. And it was Daniyal's first raya.
And another Alhamdulillah because Aa get to have the Raya week off.
Our theme this year is brown!
After the Raya prayer in the morning, we all get to do berjarah.
It was Daniyal's first time. But he only get to berjarah with his grandparents, not to me and Aa because we were rushing. It's okay, you owe us one Daniyal.
To me, the awkwardness of it never goes away. I still feel awkward and shy when I salam Aa and said all those things you should be saying during berjarah.
After the berjarah session, we went to Aa's grandma's.
We spent most of our first day of Raya at his grandma's.

And on the second day, our small family was in black.
Should have take a picture of Daniyal in his first baju melayu. But we were busy visiting. From Aa's relatives to his friends house. We were out the whole day!

Third day was better. We were too tired from all the visiting the day before. We decided to go out a little bit late than usual. Just wanting to get more rest. Besides the only places we went to this day was one of our friend's and then we spent the rest of the evening at his Chik's.

Next day was a roadtrip! Since Aa's Moq and her family were having a big open house, part of the family planned for a roadtrip to Lawas to visit their Moq's. We started driving at about 630am.
Did I mention it was me, Aa and Daniyal's first roadtrip to Lawas? Remember the time when the three of us made our passports but didn't get the chance to use it because of the cancelled plan to KK? Now our passports are in good use. Wee!
The roadtrip was a bit exhausting because the car was packed and we didn't make any stop along the way. So it was like sitting for 4hours straight. But Alhamdulillah Daniyal was behaving well. He was asleep the entire time.
We reached Lawas at 11am. Was welcomed by Moq so overwhelmingly.
Had our lunch and some of us managed to get short naps. I didn't even sleep at all the night before because we went home late and I had to pack and iron. While me and Daniyal were getting our afternoon nap, Aa was down there karaoke-ing. Boy he had so much fun he went to bed so early the night. Next day was the roadtrip back. We took a longer route plus we made a few stops so it took us about 5hours plus to head home.

After the trip to lawas, we had a good rest. Aa went back to work. But Raya was still going strong.

Aa is always here for weekends. So the 2nd weekend of Raya we went to his Usu's.

And the next day we went swimming! His family planned on a swimming trip at Marriott. It was Daniyal's first swim! He wasn't scared. He was quiet at first. And then laughing and smiling the next.

Right after the swim and staycation at Marriott for a night, we went back home to greet Aa's 2 bestfriends who came visiting. They were Aa's band mates. They brought along their kids. They are in the same year with Daniyal. The left one is Lutfi, 3 months older. The middle one is Yani, only a month older. Sometimes I wonder will they be in a band together when they're older just like their dads.

3rd weekend of Raya was a beach picnic at Esplanade with the big family. It started out raining so heavily. We waited in the cars for about 2 hours. And then Alhamdulillah the rain stopped.
Oh and it was Daniyal's first walk at the beach with his shoes off. But we didn't let him swim though.

And finally the last weekend of Raya, we went to Bungai Beach for another family picnic. It was about 15-20 minutes far than Esplanade. It was much better here because of the privacy we can get plus here is much more clean than the previous weekend one.

Our Raya this year is definitely eventful Alhamdulillah.
Now back to daily life and wish me luck in finding a job! *finger crossed*
Till next time.
